We are a non-medical home care service that focuses on offering an amazing experience for the first, basic, level of home care.
Our care assistants are not medically trained and we cannot offer any medical related care.
Our care assistants are not trained for tasks related to bathing, bathroom and dressing.
We cannot offer any help around medication management. Our care assistants are not trained in this.
We believe a strong focus is needed to offer a great service. By focusing on the first level of home care we can ensure we are hiring the kindest and most reliable individuals.
Our standard appointment length is 3.5 hours. You can choose to have an appointment each week, every 2 weeks, or every 4 weeks. When you start, you will select a day of the week that works best for you, and that will be your consistent appointment day. Additionally, you can choose between a 9am or 1pm start time for your appointments. We will consistently arrive on the same day at the same time for each appointment, allowing you to plan ahead for the days when you have an extra person to help with tasks!
It is becoming all to common that many services contract out their work to different providers. This does result in lower costs but also results in less control and accountability. All of our staff are directly employed by Homekind.
You can request that a body camera not be worn, we just want you to know that we have nothing to hide. When caring for the more vulnerable members of our society we want you to feel confident and assured. employed by Homekind.
At Homekind, we are fully bonded and insured, ensuring your peace of mind. Our dedicated caregivers are thoroughly vetted and covered by comprehensive insurance including WCB.
We are partnered with BackCheck, one of Canada’s leading criminal record check services. We complete a full Canada wide criminal record check on all of our care assistants.
Although we are not a medical service and do not offer medical based services we do ensure that our team members have basic CPR and first aid training, for your peace of mind.
If you need to use us for travel related to appointments and errands you can rest assured that our vehicles are safe and clean. Winter tires are used and our vehicles have AWD.

Sometimes Things Are Made Purposefully Unclear In Our Industry. We Are Trying To Change That.
You are never locked into our service. You are free to cancel any/all appointments as long as 3 full business days notice is provided. No charges or fees. It's that simple.
We want you to be confident in your choice. Try us out, free of charge. You won't pay a single cent if you decide not to go with us after your first appointment.
If you aren't fully satisfied with your appointment and would like a refund, let us know. We will fully refund the appointment. It's that simple.
Submit a form on our website or give us a call. We can answer any questions you have and will provide you with clear and upfront pricing.
If you decide to try our services we will require you to sign a liability agreement and our service terms. Sent via E-signature.
After you have signed the document package you will get to choose an appointemnt schedule and we will create your file in our system.
We will use your first appointemnt, which is free, to collect more details about you and your home. This concludes the onboarding process!
